A nice moderate hike in Glacier National Park to two waterfalls.
This was basically a rest day for the group I was with, but it was a worthwhile destination to first St Mary Falls and then the taller Virginia Falls (where the pictures are from). On the way back, a deer surveyed his domain.
Both Falls are fed by Virginia Creek, which coalesces in a basin formed by several mountains like Little Chief, Almost-a-Dog, and Dusty Star. It's not clear if the NPS allows rappelling down these waterfalls or not, but no one else in the group would have been interested in that anyway.
