"Gosh, Mr Autry, is that the Thunder Riders?!"
"Of course not, Timmy, that's just some doofus on an old Trek."
"But, golly, he's biking up the Mt Baldy access road at a fearful rate of speed! Probably a PR for him."
"Whatever, look, Timmy, just make sure no one sells the team to Arte Moreno. That'd be tragic. OK?"
[The foregoing is our artistic impression of what a conversation about my trip to Thunder Mountain would be like, except it never happened. What did happen is I biked from the parking area, up San Antonio Falls Road and Baldy Road (the access road) and thence up to Thunder Mtn. I did the Baldy Rd part faster than I recall doing it in the past but things slowed down when I hit the chunkier parts on the spur to the Notch and then the road to Thunder. It's all dirt road but Thunder Road (if I might call it that) doesn't see as many vehicles so I had to hike-a-bike through the chunkiness. Once on top I planned to shoot video of the ride down using a knock-off GoPro (by Akaso) that I got a while back but which hasn't really worked out. In the current case, the mounts don't stick to either of the helmets I've tried to glue them to; I need to try superglue. So, after deciding that that video wasn't going to happen, I turned around and headed back to Radio Ranch because I had a show to put on.]
