Two nice peaks with a loose, annoying trail.
Both peaks are on a ridge and the suggested route is to hike to Redcloud, hike over to Sunshine, and then return the same way. The saddle between them means you'll need to descend 500', then regain that to get to Sunshine, then regain it again to get back to Redcloud.
I don't like the route up to Redcloud because it's too loose with lots of gravel over hard packed, especially the last mile. In fact, the route is rated as Class 2 because you'll probably need to use your hands to claw your way up part of that last mile. It wasn't just me that was doing that. Then, descending that section is its own adventure.
Thankfully, after you top out on Redcloud and admire the reddish-colored rocks - like a drab mini-Utah - the route over to Sunshine is fairly solid. That route is mostly hard packed dirt with some sections with broken shale, but without the gravel over hard packed.
The views from both are great. Note that the pics are in the opposite order to what you will reach when you get there because I just went from a Red Cloud immediately over to Sunshine. I took the pictures on Sunshine then came back to Redcloud and took pictures there.
For an unknown reason I was really slow and I was also sucking wind above about 13,800', even tho I should have been fairly acclimatized by then. OTOH, almost all of the hike was in Zone 2 or Zone 1.
There's a parking lot with space for about twelve cars. There's also about ten spaces along the road where you can park and it didn't look like anyone would bother you. There are two pit toilets but when I was there they were closed for some reason and they've been replaced with two porta-potties.
Most two-wheel drive cars should be able to make it to the trailhead, but bear in mind that shortly after there the road will get a lot rougher.
