Extreme telephoto images of World Cup matches put you in the center of the action.
Unfortunately, I don't have a telephoto lens for my cell phone, so you'll have to zoom in yourself. And, my "cheap" ($140) seat was literally in the top row of the stadium. For the second half I decided that watching from a little further down was a better idea.
The first images have Breel "Embolism" Embolo kicking a PK (At least I think that's what was happening).
Other images have more action you might be able to zoom in to see. Some of the last images are of Qatar scoring a shock tying goal in second half stoppage time. That took me by surprise: when Qatar hosted the 2022 World Cup, they were the first team eliminated. And, it looked for all the world that Switzerland would hold on for a 1-0 victory. Initially I thought Switzerland would win it 3-0 or 4-0. When that didn't materialize I thought that at least they'd hold on to win. But, they weren't very good and, at least in one moment, Qater was better.
As for the non-game aspects, getting to the match was a breeze, even if it took some time. I parked at the Milpitas BART station and took the train. Then it was a walk of a couple of blocks. It did take some time to find where I was sitting; I had to walk a bit and climb some stairs for that.
However, getting out of the stadium was nowhere near as easy. I had to walk several blocks and wait a long time for a bus because the train was only running part of the return or something.
